Suitable for everyone, this cycling route takes visitors on a journey through water, history, and nature, in the most authentic heart of Comacchio and its lagoons.
Starting from Lido degli Estensi, it runs along the Logonovo Canal, where fishermen cast their nets, and reaches Salina di Comacchio, home to lively colonies of water birds, including beautiful pink flamingos. Along the path to Casone Foce, you can admire Torre Rossa, an ancient defensive structure. Guided excursions into the lagoons and salt pans, on foot or by boat, depart from Stazione Foce.
Following Valle Fattibello embankment road to the right, you reach the historic center of Comacchio: bridges, canals, museums, churches, porticoes, and the smell of fish are the hallmarks of this picturesque town. Don't miss a stop at Museo Delta Antico, with its rich heritage of archaeological finds from the area, and at Manifattura dei Marinati, to learn about the history and processing of eels. From the town, a cycle path leads back to Porto Garibaldi.
