The Museum of Land Reclamation, situated at the Saiarino Pumping Station, is an example of an industrial archaeology museum, where you can admire the complex mechanical system of land reclamation of the early 1900s.

This archeology museum is located inside a liberty style building and it includes the big Saiarino Pumping Station and the old Thermoelectric Plant, which transformed and produced electricity.

The Pumping Station lifts and drains water into the Reno river up until 9 metres above sea level. If the water level is higher, it is discharged into surge tanks until the river level lowers. It has 6 functioning pumps that can be activated with mechanical automation systems.

The Thermoelectric Plant shows some pictures of "scariolanti" - labourers who used wheelbarrows to move soil during the reclamation work - boilers to produce steam and modern devices. Of great impact is the great click room or room of the great switches.

The museum organizes educational activities.

The Museum of Land Reclamation in Argenta has gained the status of QUALITY MUSEUM recognized by the Istituto per i Beni Culturali of Emilia-Romagna.
