Scannone di Goro - Isola dell'Amore

It is a strip of land that extends for about 2 kilometres between the mouth of the Volano and a narrow arm of the Sacca di Goro which separates it from the coast, the entire length of which is accessible on foot or by bicycle.

On this strip of land, we find Italian stone pines and a rich undergrowth of holm-oaks and tamarisks, while in the shallow waters the reeds prosper. Around the Scannone area shelducks, marsh harriers and cormorants all nest.

How to get there: the mouth of the Po di Goro and Isola dell'Amore is a stages of the traditional motorboat excursions departing from Gorino and Porto Garibaldi.
