Consisting of the municipalities of Massa Fiscaglia, Migliarino and Migliaro, this municipality is situated near the Volano, a distributary channel of the Po river.

Entirely plain (maximum 3 metres above the sea level) and partially below sea level, this land was originally made up of basins and swamps, with a precarious hydrographic balance.

After the land reclamations made in the 20th century, Fiscaglia's economy was based on agriculture and still today the landscape offers boundless countrysides, where one can enjoy a nice walk or bike ride. In one of these itineraries there is Torre Tieni, a defensive tower built by the Este family to protect the land from the attacks of the people of Venice. The battles were in fact common along the Po di Volano river, especially due to the dominance of salt trades.
